At Higher Academia, volunteers are the lifeblood of our success. Tutoring, mentoring, training, and encouraging are all avenues of influencing our students. By building relationships with the students, we can change the trajectory of their lives and greatly impact their academic and career success – and have fun doing it!

Polk County Schools – Doing What’s Right For Students (polkschools.org)

Once you’re on the page scroll down to the Section Frequently Used Links and select Volunteer Registration.  This should take you to another page, where you can register with Polk County Schools.  You will receive a card in the mail in two to three weeks verifying your background check is clear. All our volunteers are vetted through Polk County Schools.
